Hi there all, well when I took ares to four paws bed and bath I found out that they sale innova and innova evo. Right now in the are I was I. I had no idea that they sold this great dog food. I should have gone to four paws sooner. Ares is on pro PAC right now but I know there are better kibbles out there. Hi all,
Kosmo is going on 13 weeks now and has had terrible gas and loose stool problems. He was on Wellness brand food for large dogs. I just switched him to the Pacific Stream brand of the taste of the wild. I'm hoping that will solve our issues. He eats 4 times a day, and is still pretty lean. Is there anything else that could be contibuting to the gas and loose stool that I should be worrying about? He seems to drink ALOT of water, is that normal?

David took Mason to the vet today. It is the same vet he has been seeing since we brought him home at 5 weeks old. Since the last time I saw her I changed Mason's food from puppy to adult. I did that because everyone told me puppy food had to much protein and would cause him to grow too fast. My sister has English Mastiff show dogs and she told me to do this as well. Taste of the Wild

When is the earliest you would start feeding Taste of the Wild to your Dane? Isis will be 12months old on November 26. Could I start her on the Pacific Stream now, or is she still too young? I'd love to feed the Orijen, but at $62 per bag for the Orijen Adult, and two Giant breeds and one small dog, that will start stretching the family budget a wee bit. And, I'm not sure it is that much better for the cost. The TOTW is $45 per bag. Thoughts and all advice is welcome....

Hello folks, I am having some food issues with Booboo. About a month and a half ago she stopped eating Orijen. This is a 44%protien, 18% fat food.Its the only thing that met her energy needs for her activity level. It started doing a number on her stomach and she stopped eating. Hey Guys, Naomi and I checking in again.

I've given up comparing her to other Danes. Absolutely given up. A six month old was at the dog park yesterday and, while much shorter than her, weighed the same as her. Naomi is now eight months old, and is barely 75 pounds. She was still gaining a steady ten pounds a month until a month ago. Now, she only gained five pounds from months 7 to 8. I don't know what to do.

When we get are puppy home we are considering feeding him the Innova large breed puppy food. Is this the best for him or should we go right to the adult food ? If so is the Innova EVO better for him? Also what are some good treats, are the bully sticks ok to use? He will only be 7-8 weeks old.

I have switched back to the Fromm Gold Nutrionals Adult Large Breed While I liked the Chicken Soup, I didn't like all the residual gunk at the bottom of the bag. Fromm never has this. The Fromm food has probiotics in it. Would it be too much if I gave the dogs a Priobotic as well? Honestly, I have no way of knowing if the probiotics in the food are just trace (minimal) amounts.

When to switch from puppy to adult?

I was just wondering if there is a certain age or weight where we should switch from puppy food,we like wellness puppy large breed kibble along with a can per feeding, to the large breed adult kibble. We've seen the wellness core cans but it says it should only be used for adults. I don't want to rush him into anything to soon but I'd like to know for furtue reference what is a good time to start moving him towards the "grown-up" food.

When we first adopted Mack-Daddy I was a bit concerned at how thin he was. His bones were his most prominent features. I read through this forum, soaking in all the diet and nutrition information I could. In fact, we ended up going with Taste of the Wild Pacific Stream based on what a lot of people around here said.

We've been feeding Mack 4 cups in the morning and another 4 cups in the evening. About half the time he doesn't eat it all but he gives it the old college...

I'm going with Chicken soup, since I'm so bloody confused and frustrated lol. I've spent a few hours looking at each website of each brand of dog food we carry here, and the only one we have other than Eagle pack, which has alot of the ingredients that are in the NOT reccommended list here, is the chicken soup. I have just bought my first Dane puppy 'Zoe' but am confused as what to feed her. Her breeder was feeding 'Purina beta large puppy food' which is what i have her on for the moment but the protein level is 29% which is to high. I have done a bit of research on different brands and found that IAMS do a Adult large breed dog food which seems to be well balanced for a Danes needs.
