Kat - any update on the red eyes? It sounds like you've got one of four things going on, but a picture would help a great deal:

1. Just a bit of red eye relieved by some eye drops, preferably those for dogs.
2. HAWS, which is just her lower lid drooping making her eyes look red.
3. Allergies, in which case see the vet, they may prescribe benadryl. With winter here, you would expect the allergens to be down and the red eye to be less.
4. Conjuctivitis. Is there any yellowish/greenish discharge (eye boogers) coming from your dog's eyes? Is your dog pawing at her eyes like they itch? A triple antibiotic ointment for Conjuctivitis is called for from the vet in this case. Just so you know, it's a mix of Neomycin, Polymyxin B, and Bacitracin Zinc. It's put together in an opthamalic ointment that is for dogs only. Applying it to their lower lid is the easiest way to do it. You should apply it for a full 10 days, twice a day.
