6am: Outside to kennel eating breakfast. If weather is good she stays out if it is bad she comes back in at 730 to her crate and I leave for work.
430pm: Outside eating supper
6pm: Inside for playtime and whatever or walk if weather is good.
10pm: Crate for bed
NO IT IS NOT PERFECT AND YES I WISH I COULD SPEND MORE TIME WITH HER BUT SHE IS HAPPY AND THIS IS WHAT I CAN DO RIGHT NOW.
Here is my problem d/t my bills and Lady needing surgery for her eye! I have taken on a second job working every other weekend (friday/saturday) in a town about 45 min away. To save on gas I will be staying with my mom who lives there. Lady will not always be able to come if at all (my mom is not a fan of my horse) so my options are to get a dog sitter who will check, feed, walk, brush, and put her inside at night or I have considered boarding her at a kennel where she will be supervised most of the time!
My concern with a dog sitter is they would have to be in my house to put her in and out of her crate for the night. Here is what I am asking them to do.
AM put her out and feed her no later than 9am if weather is bad she will have to be in the crate and I will have them come take her out for small walks thru the day
PM if it is nice she will stay in her kennel outside like normal and they will come to feed her at 5 walk and brush her out
Then they would have to come back to put her to bed inside her crate at 10pm
My concern with boarding expensive it is 19.00 a day plus she has to have a bordatella vaccine as well before she can go! I am checking other places as well to get a good price. We are visiting a very popular and well know kennel to see what its like and see if they can work with me on some things like picking up after hours. Sometimes I won't be coming home until sunday evening at 5pm or late saturday evening when they would be closed but they have a couple options that I may be able to do after talking to the owner.
They do have lots of great danes that come for doggie daycare and they have 2 that are temperarly living there while their owners are overseas in the army.
She would have supervision.
I really am unsure what to do so input would be nice. Thanks!
