Anyone have any suggestions for keeping a 4 month old kitten out of the Christmas tree? I picked up 3 ornaments this morning, and when he saw me with them, he immediately decided the best place to hide so there wouldn't be any discussion was in the tree. I actually did catch him in the act, but of course, he then went up the tree. Stupidhead. I wouldn't be too worried about it, but some of the ornaments on the higher branches are ceramic ones that the kids made for me, and I really don't want him pulling those down and having them drop onto the ceramic floor. Just imagine the mess, as well as the sentimental value (older kids took younger kids to the ceramic shop and helped them underglaze the decorations, years ago). Last year, we didn't put up the tree because Venus was still such a young puppy, but I figured we'd be safe, now. She's (amazingly) been an absolute angel about leaving the tree alone, but the kitten . . . is just the devil. I've tried spraying everything with hotsauce mixed with water, but it doesn't stop him, so I put all of the ornaments in the dishwasher to get that off. Any other suggestions?
