Dixie seems to be suffering from seperation anxiety now. It seems to have come out of nowhere. I'm sure there were signs I just didn't see, but now
it is bad. I can't even let her outside while I'm inside without her freaking out. I walk outside for just seconds and she will freak out. I'm
at a complete loss. I have tried toys and treats. She has gotten very desrtuctive too. I rent my home, so I can't risk her destroying the carpet or
"structure" of the house. I don't really know what to do, other than medicating her. And I really really don't want to do that. However, I
have read about all natural herdbal supplements that help reduce anxiety. Does anyone know anything about these things? The local natural food store has a
brand called Renew life supplements for dogs. And they have one called calm, for anxiety. I have been reading up on natural supplements for people, and been
trying some myself. I know they can be very effective in treating some conditions. But I haven't done any research in the effectiveness in dogs. Does
anyone have any experience with herbs or supplements in dogs? Or know where I can get information on them? My hope is that they will be a solution to take
the edge off for her, and calm her enough to let the training take over. Any advice is welcome. I just need some kind of solution.
